ROCKHOUND NEWS March 2006
MARCH 16th CML & MS meeting
K thru R bring refreshments
The March meeting of the Central Michigan Lapidary & Mineral Society will be devoted to the always popular SILENT AUCTION! Please bring anything related to rocks, minerals, and gems, this includes mineral specimens, jewelry, faceting rough, jewelry findings, books, magazines, and how-to publications, equipment & materials for working with minerals and jewels, and any good rocks that you have had in your custody for too long. If you have bidding slips or can make some copies of bidding slips, please bring them with you to the meeting. Please come prepared with a description of your contributed items and minimum bids that you believe are appropriate for each one; these will be written on the bidding slips to guide bidders. Don't go too high, since the fun of the Silent Auction is finding something you've always wanted, and getting it for a good, low price. REMEMBER, bring small bills and change (since lots of things go for under a dollar), and bring wrappings and a bag to carry your prizes home. The Silent Auction is fun for everyone, and no one goes home empty-handed. -- See you on March 16!
Happy biding.
Elaine Beane, Vice President for Programs

Note from the editors. If you missed last month meeting you missed an excellent program presented by Vice-President Elaine Beane. Thank you Elaine, we all enjoyed the program very much.
Don’t miss this month’s program
The Silent Auction
This is a great opportunity for new members and old members to add to their collections.
There will be equipment, specimens, books (the librarian has been weeding out the library
Plus there have been many duplicate books given to the library) , plus lots of other rock related items. We repeat don’t miss it.
